Tools make it Simple
Man is a very intelligent being and he has made efforts since his existence on this earth to make his life worth living and simpler in terms of lifestyle. We are still living a very comfortable and simple life, whereas the people from the way back ancient times that are our ancestors from the Stone Age have proven themselves more intelligent than us in terms of simple inventions. There are a few things which they had invented for their convenience and things which made their lifestyle easier and comfortable. These things are now commonly termed as werkzeugs. A werkzeug is a machine which is made by human in order to meet his needs and make his life routine more comfortable. Or simply a werkzeug is entity that is made by human to make the world around them and the manual work it involves easier and comfortable to do. The ancient scenario was vast different from what we have today. Our ancestors from the Stone Age had hardly any clothes to wear and shelter from heat and cold. They use to use the werkzeugs to make proper arrangements for their survival in harmony with the nature. They did not have houses with air conditioners and heaters like us, they lived in caves, which kept them protect from heat as well as cold and also from the wild animals. They made hunting werkzeugs from wood and stone, and made it sharp to hunt down the animals in order to satisfy their hunger needs and clothing needs as they used the skin of the animals to protect themselves from heat and cold plus keep their body covered.
They made very simple werkzeugs to cut flesh and wood, but we have very complex ones in our lives today. The use of werkzeugs is so vast in our lifestyles that we can’t imagine to survive a single day without them. Since they are so easily available, we never realize their value in our lives. A werkzeug is like a boon to mankind because it reduces so much of manual labor and in return saves a lot of energy which can channelized in other resources. werkzeugs have served very faithfully to the existence of all mankind and their rise and fall; they have been passed on from generations to generations, and as they are passed on, they get modified and more advanced, thus keeping in harmony with the life style which is changing very fast. A werkzeug can do things you can never think of.
